FNB/PayPal Launch end of March?

FNBAs one of the first sites to report that FNB will Roll out Paypal a few weeks back. FNB and Paypal will be hosting a Press Conference on the 25th of March hosted at Turbine Hall in Jonannesburg. This is a date not yet confirmed to be the launch, but the Press Conference will definatly be happening.

This will be the chance for both giants to “discuss how they’re working together to make global eCommerce faster and easier for the South African market”.

We shall keep you updated on further growth of this story. A first for South Africa, First National Bank remains at the edge of innovation indeed.

facebookDarren Mattox, 29, admitted posting a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character when he appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court. He used the word in a posting to ex-girlfriend Ashleigh Speed. He wanted to see his baby son, born last October after their three-month relationship ended in April.

Magistrates were handed printouts of messages sent by Mattox to Ms Speed, her father and her sister, but they were not read to the court.The Crown Prosecution Service spokesman said: “There have probably been only a handful of cases resulting from offensive material either on Facebook or YouTube.” Read Full article here

Johannesburg Taxi’s Strike again

TaxiIf u woke up this morning wondering why Johannesburg streets are so easy going and no traffic, well yes Jo’burg Taxi’s have done it again – another Strike. Well the United Taxi Association Forum said on Thursday that on Friday 12th March There will be no minibus taxis in Johannesburg as operators strike against the introduction of feeder buses for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. Earthquakes – Modern day hell?

chiliA 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit at 11:39 a.m. local time (9:39 a.m. ET), followed by a 6.7-magnitude quake 16 minutes later, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. A third, measured at magnitude 6.0, came 27 minutes later.
